She’s Only Five And She Saved Her Mother And Brother After A Car Crash

Alexis Shymanski was only five years old when she saved her mom and baby brother after her mom fell asleep at the wheel.

A Brave Little Girl

Lexi’s mother was driving the family back to their home in Prince George, British Columbia when she fell asleep at the wheel, causing the car to plunge a 39-feet embankment. The car was left upside down with all passengers inside. Since she couldn’t wake her mother up, Lexi unbuckled her harness, walked up to the highway, and started signaling passing drivers for help.

It turns out that both her mother and brother were in terrible shape. Her mother had to be resuscitated and was rushed to the hospital. For her courage and quick wit, she was greeted at the Edmonton police headquarters and was awarded a bronze medal by the Royal Canadian Humane Association.
